What is compounding?

Compounding is the practice of making custom or specialized medications that are tailored to the needs of a specific patient. They are only available from compounding pharmacies. These medications can be used to treat a specific disease state or can also be used for general wellness.

Are compounded medications covered by insurance?

It is becoming less common that compounded medications are covered by insurance but often times insurance plans may cover the expense of a compounded medication.

Who uses a compounding pharmacy?

Everybody! From babies to senior adults, and from people to pets, there are many uses for compounded medications.

Do you take all insurances?

Medmetrics accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Are your prices competitive to large retail chains?

Is it easy to transfer prescriptions from my current pharmacy?

Sterile versus non-sterile compounding?

Our lab currently does not provide ophthalmic or injectable products. Please call if you are in need of these services and we can refer you to a pharmacy that can help.

Dosages?

We make capsules, lozenges, suspensions, creams, ointments, gels, suppositories, chewable treats, and many more. Ask our pharmacy team for more details.

Are all vitamins & supplements the same?

Certainly not. Quality, potency, sourcing, bioavailability … all these factors and more!
